Cambodia’s transition to clean and green energy will be the focus of discussion when stakeholders gather this month for the annual Clean Energy Week.
Kiripost speaks to Australian Ambassador, Justin Whyatt, to find out the importance of the energy transition, the challenges, and how Australia is supporting Cambodia in its journey.
“Embracing clean energy in economic development is not a good-will; it’s an economic opportunity for Cambodia. In the face of climate change, Cambodia’s GDP could be reduced by 10 percent by 2050,” Alissar Chaker, of UNDP, told Kiripost about Cambodia’s energy transition, the economic opportunities, and how UNDP is supporting the challenging journey.
